Website Design

Speyburn is a Speyside single malt with a long history and a growing international audience. The website needed to balance that heritage with a sense of approachability, while making it easy for visitors to explore the whisky range.

The redesigned site places the whisky expressions at the centre of the experience. Product pages focus on clear photography, tasting notes and essential information. Supporting details such as awards, serving suggestions and cocktail recipes sit alongside the products without overwhelming the page.

Longer pages use structured storytelling to guide visitors through the distillery’s history and character. Images, details and moments from the distillery help bring that story to life, giving people a clearer sense of the place behind the whisky while keeping the experience engaging.

Navigation is kept clean, straightforward and intuitive, allowing visitors to move naturally between the whisky, the story of the distillery and wider brand content.

Small interactions are used carefully to support engagement rather than distract from the content. Behind the scenes, a modular CMS allows the team to update pages and adjust layouts while keeping the design consistent.

Built to WCAG AA standards, the site balances storytelling with usability. It supports the brand’s international growth while staying rooted in the character and heritage of the distillery.
