Willkommen in Berlin

From Hugo Boss to Mercedes-Benz German design and engineering is all around us. Berlin is a city I’ve longed to visit but never quite managed it until now – and I wasn’t disappointed. In the short time I was there I managed to get around to visiting most of the main attractions. I managed to book ahead and visit the Reichstag at night, seeing the wonderful work of British architect Norman Foster which was simply stunning. Other highlights included Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie/Berlin Wall, Berliner Fernsehturm (TV Tower), Holocaust Memorial and Museum Island. Berlin is a beautiful city undergoing a transformation which includes the re-build of the Prussian Royal Palace in a project exceeding €600m.

I did stumble across The Dudes Factory Shop and Gallery. French illustrator mcbess is the main artistic drive behind the company who produce everything from clothing to framed prints. I made sure I cam back with a few presents for myself!

I’m already planning my next trip back to Berlin.
